10:25 pm - Apollo, Manchester, England
|
Well, the other 'Rabbits and I have pulled off another successful show in our homeland! Thus ends our stay in the warrens of Manchester. Once again, the crowd loves us, and we, Simon, Andy and John especially, love them back...though sometimes I wonder if those 3 love the fans a little TOO much, if you know what I mean..o.o
I've been taking more pictures for me photography project as the tour progresses, though I'm concentrating on outside influence, rather than things that go on during the tour..though some of the lighting structures make interesting photography subjects.
That said, it's off to bed with me. Then tomorrow, we head off to Leeds, and then back to Brummie Downs, for more performances!

10:45 pm - This is VERY fitting!!!

because i thought this picture was pretty, laura of mewing.net told me this: "it seems you enjoy dancing, drinking, eating, orgies, and expensive perfume. you're the type of person who buys brand-name socks--but you are also the type of person who has been electricuted by the toaster at least seven times. you were at the top of the class in elementary school, but faltered in junior high, because you didn't understand algebra. your favorite singer, suprisingly, is prince, and in your spare time you can be found tinkering with broken calculators and atari home videogame units." whatever will laura tell you??
This works!:)

Another fabulous well-recieved concert and now the FUN begins!!! We start the next leg of our tour which is located back home in England! *hops all around* We catch a plane tomorrow morning and I get to go home!!
I think the other Durabbits are just as happy, especially Roger. I don't think he likes travelling that much. As for Simon, something tells me he's going to miss the roo girls. There aren't too many of those in England. Just the usual assortment of folks: canines, felines, rodents, and of course plenty of bunnies!:)
Oh, it will be good to be home!

Melbourne's shows were a success as usual, and so was tonight's show held here in Adelaide. Everything went over very well. I can't help be a tad surprised though, since today was one of those day's where I feel that even though I'm not a real blonde, it doesn't seem to matter.
First off, we went through a bit of a dress rehearsal/sound check prior to the show. That part wasn't so bad, but afterward, when I turned to go offstage, I got me foot tangled in a wire on the stage floor. This caused me to trip, and I stumbled into my keyboards, and fell over onto my stomach, taking one of my synths with it! Fortunately I wasn't hurt, and nothing was damaged, except my dignity. And I got my share of snickers from the band and roadies and such afterward. *blushes*
Then to top it off, back at the hotel, I forgot my hotel room number, and had to go to the front desk to get it. It wasn't until afterward that I forgot that my KEY had the number engraved into it!
*sighs* I suppose everyone's obligated to have "dumb bunny" days, even myself! :P

According to me Durabbit cohorts, I miss out on too much. During the journey to Melbourne, they were informing me of this photographer we worked with on a recent photo shoot in Brisbane. She was alright, I suppose, and she was a dingo. She seemed quite nice, and sociable. But according to them, she quite fancied me. Unfortunately, I was too preoccupied to really notice. From now on, I think I'll keep in tune a bit more. Who knows what sort of fun I can get myself into?;)
Speaking of fun, it looks like things are getting a little rowdy, as Simon and John are hitting each other with rolled up magazines and stuff! I think I'll join in! Nothing like a little mayhem to let off steam before the concert tonight!

Sydney was fun, and after a couple of days of sightseeing, interviews and photoshoots, it was off to Brisbane, where we held two concerts. One last night, and one earlier tonight. Tomorrow we head out as we have a couple of shows in Melbourne to perform.
In the meantime, for some reason, I've been in a cranky mood all day today. It's one of those things where I'm all dodgy and I don't know why. I think I'll just keep tomyself tonight, hole up in me hotel room, listen to the radio, and call it a night. Hopefully whatever it is that's digging at me will sort itself out of my system, because right now I want to rip things apart..not that I'm about to do that. It would be contrived..:P

Once again we played to a sold out show. Nothing really eventful happened that's all that noteworthy, other than Roger missing a beat in "Ryo".
Earlier in the day we had an interview though, with one of the local newpapers. Of course Simon did most of the talking. No surprise there. He's the most outgoing of us all..well, next to Andy. Though Andy's much more abrasive. After all, we're talking about someone who threatened to shave all my fur off if John and I didn't let him join Durabbit Durabbit! But I'm getting offtrack.
Tomorrow we don't have much planned and we get the day to more or less do whatever we please! I like that, as I have a fondness to explore new places. :)

We've all been exploring Sydney today, and it's quite an experience. We're learning the hard way though how popularity is hindering our day-to-day lives. One moment We're wandering around, enjoying ourselves, and the next, we're hopping for our lives to escape the throng of overeager fans that have seemed to appear from nowhere!!
Fortunately we all made it unscathed...except for poor Simon who emerged a few minutes later, with his fur all messed up and pulled at, and his clothes in tatters.
Later tonight John, Andy, and Roger are going to go check out what the nightlife has rto offer in this city. I can't go with them because I'm a little too young for some of the nightspots, and for once, Simon has decided to stay in tonight. Can't imagine why..
At least I'll have company though!

The show was a success and the audience loved every moment of it!! concerts are an exhilirating experience, though probably more so for John, Andy, and Simon, since they have the whole front of the stage to romp around in. Roger's behind his drumkit, and then there's me, behind my keyboards. Not that I mind. The sound of thousands of teenage girls screaming for me and my bandmates is an adrenaline rush in itself. Though is I had to complain about anything, it woul dhave to be about the lighting on my side of the stage. How can anyone take notice of a little grey bunny if he's sitting in the dark? I'm going to have to speak to someone about this in the near future.
The backstage area ia s mob scene after the show. Groupies, fans, crew, and of course myself and the other Durabbits mill everywhere. Speaking of which, it looks lke Simon is having a time with that 'roo girl in the corner. Oh, now the roo is bouncing out the door with Simon in her pouch! Now there's one rabbit who's in for the time of his life!:)

The band and I have done it. I remember before we made it big, John T. Hare and I would sit in his burrow and decide that in two years, we'd be playing Madison Square Gardens, and two years after that, we'd hit world domination. Well, here we are, Durabbit Durabbit having created 3 successful albums, and captured the hearts of teenage girls everywhere. And now we're embarking on our first world tour! Our first leg of the Sing of Blue Sil-Fur tour, (henceforth dubbed, "The Carrot Tour") is in Australia. From what our management has said, we're going to be here for about a month and then move on, heading back to our homeland, England, and then moving onto Japan and then North America.
So far, I think Australia is intriguing. Most of the fans here are species I've never seen up close, like wombats and platypuses, and the like. Simon seems to have taken to this pretty kangaroo girl that has caught his eye. No doubt HE won't spend a lonely night in his hotel room after the show!
